Travel Information

The easiest way to get to Thessaloniki is by a flight to the city's international airport "Macedonia". Its international air flight code is SKG. Most major airline companies have direct flights to Thessaloniki or indirect flights via Athens El. Venizelos International Airport.

Two are the major airline companies in Greece: The flight from Athens to Thessaloniki takes 55 minutes and the cost of the ticket is about 200 € (return). Please note that Olympic Airlines usually has many delays and cancellations.

After you arrive at the airport, you have 2 choices:
The first one is to take a taxi. There is a taxi stand outside the airport. The taxi fair from the airport to the centre of Thessaloniki costs approximately 15-20 euros, depending on the hour, the traffic and your luggage.
The other option is to take the shuttle bus from the airport to the centre (bus no 78). The fare costs approximately 0,70 euros. You can buy your ticket inside the bus from an automatic ticket machine. If you are interested to come to the College, or to a hotel near the centre of the city, you should get off at the “Aristotelous” bus stop.
