Established in 1993, the partnership between the University of Sheffield and CITY College has developed into an academic collaboration of the highest quality. The integration of CITY College as an International Faculty of the University of Sheffield in 2009 further developed the very close working relationship we have established over many years and recognises the quality of the degree programmes and research outputs delivered by CITY College.
We firmly believe that there are significant opportunities for increasing academic co-operation between the UK, Greece and the wider Balkan region. Through our International Faculty based in Thessaloniki, we are able to engage in research activities and to develop initiatives to provide further high quality programmes that are taught to the standards of one of the world's top 100 universities.
The academic integration of CITY College as an International Faculty of the University of Sheffield means that all aspects of College provision are subject to the oversight of the University. The University’s quality assurance and enhancement processes together with the close working relationships we have established with our colleagues at CITY College allow us to be confident that the courses on offer consistently provide students with a high quality education, bringing lasting career benefits within the framework of contemporary Europe.
In combining our long established reputation for academic excellence with the capacities of our International Faculty in Thessaloniki, we are delighted to be able to offer the chance for students to gain a University of Sheffield degree in South-East Europe.
