Professor Kevin Lane Keller, the world guru of branding and Professor of Marketing at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College (USA) delivered three insightful one-day seminars in Thessaloniki (12 May 2008), Bucharest (14 May 2008), and Belgrade (16 May 2008). The event was organised by the Executive Education Centre (EXED) of CITY College, the affiliated institution of the University of Sheffield and the South East Europe Research Centre (SEERC).
Mr. George Efstathiadis, Director of the Executive MBA programme, warmly welcomed Prof. Keller and thanked him for his positive response to CITY’s invitation.
In this executive seminar, titled “Strategic Brand Management: The New Brand Imperatives,” Prof. Keller focused on successful branding strategies and using examples from well-known global brands such as Nike, Accenture, Starbucks and BMW explained how they planned their strategy in order to improve their profitability and corporate image. In his closing remarks, Prof. Keller pointed out the importance of brand equity and provided useful guidelines.
The seminar, which was well-attended by marketing managers, CEO’s, advertising company executives as well as entrepreneurs and professionals from big firms and organisations across SE Europe, received very positive feedback from the audience.
Professor Kevin Keller is actively involved in the industry, as he has also served as brand consultant to some of the world's most successful brands, including Accenture, American Express, Disney, Ford, Intel, Levi-Strauss, SAB Miller, Procter & Gamble, and Starbucks. Moreover, Kevin Keller is the co-editor, along with Philip Kotler, of the 12th edition of the all-time best selling introductory marketing textbook ‘Marketing Management’ published in March 2005.
