Dr. George Eleftherakis holds:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, University of Sheffield (UK),
- MSc in Computer Science awarded with Distinction, University of Sheffield (UK),
- BSc in Physics, Aristotle University of Ioannina (Greece).
George Eleftherakis is a Senior Lecturer of the CS department at CITY College and the Leader of the Information and Communication Technologies Research Track of the South East European Research Centre (SEERC). He is a member of the IMC research group and the founder and leader of the Information Security research group at CITY. His main research work is in the area of formal methods and information security. He has a special interest in Java and Internet applications since 1997 and he is the founder and owner of Thessaloniki’s Java User Group. He gave more than 10 invited talks to Universities, conferences and companies around the world, published more than 35 papers and edited 2 books. Finally he is a member of BCS, ACM and the Greek Computer Society and he organised two scientific conferences, one in formal methods (SEEFM05) and another one in Membrane Computing (WMC8) and six International Student conferences (S3).
