Visa Information

 MBA Visa Information for Greece

Students accepted on the executive MBA programme do not need to apply for a student visa, as is the case of students attending other programmes. MBA students apply for a multiple entry visa.

More specifically, the International and Student Services Office provides a particular certificate of enrollment written in Greek and issued for visa purposes. Students will use this certificate to apply for an Ethniki Visa (national visa valid only for Greece), multiple entry (preferably for one year or at least six months*). MBA students apply for this type of visa because of the special mode of attendance (one weekend per month).

Furthermore, the Greek Embassy/Consulate in each country will request additional supporting documents  (e.g. employment certificate, financial statement etc.). Since Greek Embassies/Consulates in each particular country may have different requirements for this type of visa application, we would advise students to consult them before they proceed with their application.Additionally, they might be requested to present evidence of booked accommodation during their visit to Greece and/or evidence of financial ability to support themselves during their visit.

A Visa is not required for MBA students from Bulgaria and Romania since both countries joined the European Union on 1/1/2007. Therefore, students will only present the certificate of enrollment mentioned above at the border authorities upon request.

Students enrolled at the MBA programme in Belgrade attend particular modules in Thessaloniki, at the premises of CITY College. For that reason, they will also apply for visa using the certificate of enrollment. Normally, in this case, a 6 months multiple entry visa for the modules attended in Thessaloniki will be adequate. *

Students enrolled at the MBA programme in Bucharest also attend particular modules in Thessaloniki, at the premises of CITY College. Nevertheless, they do not need a visa since, as explained above, Romania has become a EU memeber country.

* Note: It should be made clear that the visa duration and number of entries is at the discretion of the associated Consulate. CITY International and Student Services Office will help where necesarry.
