On 11^th October 2011 Dr. Leslie Szamosi, Academic Director and Senior Lecturer at the Executive MBA programme of City College, International Faculty of the University Of Sheffield, delivered a very successful HR seminar at the Istanbul Sehir University premises. The event was organized in collaboration with our academic partner in Turkey, Istanbul Sehir University.

The seminar was entitled “Have organizations learned nothing? Why do workers continue to resist change?” Dr. Szamosi addressed the issue of resistance in employee change in developed economies especially in times of economical crisis with a reference in the past and a vivid presentation of the current situation. Participants had the chance to benefit from a skilful presentation of the realities of resistance and the reasons of perhaps being stronger today than it was in the past.

The event was attended by business professional and executives from Turkish companies and organizations who found the seminar particularly enlightening.

The seminar was organized in the frame of the University of Sheffield Executive MBA programme, offered for the first time this year in Istanbul by the University’s International Faculty, CITY College in collaboration with Istanbul Sehir University providing the opportunity to executives in Istanbul to obtain a top Executive MBA degree for while studying in their country.
