Career Services
To help our graduates fulfill their career aspirations, both in terms of an immediate return on their investment in education and in terms of potential for future career growth, CITY’s Career Office provides a full career management service, offering extensive support for job searches throughout the course. This includes vacancy circulation, general advice on job search strategies, one-to-one career counseling, coaching and advice in preparing CVs as well as the organising of a Career Fair, with employer presentation and interviews each April.
The Careers Office:

Keeps records of the alumni

Gathers information on the best way for students to start a career in their chosen industry

Keeps an updated ‘bank’ of statistics and information about different industries to help students decide which industry they are most suited for

Helps to create a professional CV that will truly reflect the candidate’s ability and personality as well as writing an effective cover letter

Gives tips for successful interviews

Provides access to a large collection of job vacancies that are available to any interested student to help them in their job hunt

Organises events, such as the Career Fair, that bring CITY students and graduates into direct contact with Industry specialists – potential employers - and help them to orientate themselves towards their future career.
