Executive MBA Annual Study Week
at the University of Sheffield

In June 2011 our Executive MBA students of Cohorts 18A and 18B from Thessaloniki, Belgrade, Bucharest and Kyiv visited the University of Sheffield in the UK for the Annual Study Week. Like every year the study week was a mix of classes, seminars, company visits, activities, free time and exciting outings for the first year MBA students.

The students, escorted by Mr. George Efstathiadis, Director of EXED and Dr. Leslie Szamosi, Academic Director of the Executive MBA, were warmly welcomed in a reception hosted by members of the academic and administrative staff of the Management School University of Sheffield.

During their stay at Sheffield MBA participants attended the last module of the first year of their studies, ‘Information Management’ led by Dr Kawalek and Operations and Process Management by Dr Kastanas with the participation of Prof Lenny Koh and Prof Kulwant Pawar. An insightful seminar on ‘Negotiation Skills’ was also included in the Study Week’s agenda. The Healthcare track students had the opportunity to visit a University Hospital. Except for classes, students also participated in various activities and social events and company visits organized on the occasion of their visit. MBA participants had a great time at Sheffield and had the opportunity to network and share experiences.

The structure of the Executive MBA programme includes the Annual Study Week at the University of Sheffield, which takes place every year in June, giving students the opportunity to learn and enjoy at the same time. Also, during each academic year all 2nd year EMBA students jointly attend the second Study Week of the prorgamme in Thessaloniki.
