CITY MBA Students visit Sheffield
CITY’s Executive MBA students from Thessaloniki, Belgrade and Bucharest visited the University of Sheffield to attend the last module of the first year of their course.
Two contingents of MBA students were accompanied by Mr. George Efstathiadis, Director of the MBA and other faculty members, on their visits to Sheffield over two consecutive weeks. Vice Chancellors, Prof. Paul White and Prof. Michelin Belau, as well as members of the administrative and academic staff of Sheffield’s Management School, warmly welcomed all CITY delegates.
MBA participants were given a tour of the ‘Information Commons’, the new, state-of-the art library of the University of Sheffield that is fully equipped with new technologies and resources. As well as activities on campus, the MBA students also had the opportunity to go on some company visits to Rolls Royce and Royal Mail and to attend a presentation of the two companies’ products and services. |
But what made this trip really special was that MBA students felt that they truly are a part of the British University, even if they attend classes kilometers away from the mother institution. They also met MBA students that study at the University of Sheffield and exchanged views and experiences regarding the course.
Everyone returned to their country with positive impressions of the trip to Sheffield. “This trip was a unique experience from all angles and it is a very good initiative for the last module of the MBA to be delivered at the University of Sheffield. Everyone at Sheffield did their best to ensure that we had a great time during our stay and they certainly succeeded,” said Trandelina Cakaj, Executive Director Corporate Services of the Energy Corporation of Kosova. |
The visit to Sheffield takes place every year and gives MBA students the chance to get a real flavour of Britain and of CITY’s mother institution, the University of Sheffield.
