CITY MBA students on the Annual Study Week at the University of Sheffield
150 Executive MBA students from Thessaloniki, Belgrade and Bucharest visited the University of Sheffield where they attended the last module of the first year of their studies during the ‘Annual Study Week’, which is included in the programme of studies of the Sheffield MBA offered at CITY College.
The students were divided into two groups and visited the University of Sheffield over two consecutive weeks, escorted by Mr. George Efstathiadis, EXED Director and Dr. Leslie Szamosi, Academic Director of EXED. The academic and administrative staff of the University of Sheffield warmly welcomed the CITY MBA participants.
During their stay in the UK the students and were involved in various activities as well as the classes they attended during the week. CITY MBA participants visited the Rolls Royce factory and the museum where they were given a tour. They also visited the historic house of Chatsworth, one of Britain’s most famous houses where they were given a brief presentation on marketing techniques used for tourism and leisure attractions. A seminar on ‘Negotiations’ Skills” as well as a presentation by E-ON, one of the UK’s leading gas and power companies, also took place at the University of Sheffield as part of the Annual Study Week for the CITY MBA students. |
CITY's MBA participants also met their fellow Sheffield MBA students and had a great opportunity to network and share exchange experiences with them. The trip exceeded executives’ expectations and they all returned to their countries with glowing reports from this unique experience.
