Induction Weekend for CITY/Sheffield Executive MBA

Just before the commencement of classes of academic year 2008-09, the Induction weekend of the Executive MBA programme for cohort 16 took place in Thessaloniki, Belgrade and Romania.

Mr. Efstathiadis, Director of EXED, warmly welcomed all new Executive MBA students who form the largest international network of managers across South East Europe.

After that, members of the academic staff introduced the academic programme and thoroughly explained the academic regulations of the EMBA programme. Dr. Nikos Dimitriadis, and Mr. Stelios Kehaghias, EXED Lecturers, who participated in the Induction in Belgrade and Bucharest spoke about the value and global recognition of the Sheffield MBA degree. Also, part of the Induction in Thessaloniki was the ‘People Building Exercise’ presented by Dr. Leslie Szamosi, Academic Director of EXED, during which EMBA participants got to develop their interpersonal skills.

Successful alumni also participated as guest speakers in this year’s EMBA Induction. Mr. Georgi Vojinovic, former basketball player, now Managing Director of a top leasing company of a multinational bank in Skopje, Mr. Slobodan Anic and Ms. Gabriela Bujor in Thessaloniki, Belgrade and Bucharest respectively, spoke about their EMBA experience and their following professional success.

The induction sessions were followed by a buffet where MBA students had the chance to chat with their classmates and professors.
