The constant changes in society’s needs, the global demands for knowledge and especially the rapid advancements of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are changing education’s structures, cultures and processes. Technology is a catalyst that modernizes teaching and learning and can greatly improve academic achievement and teacher effectiveness.
My research interests are in the area of education and technology. I am a member of the EDucational InformaTics (EDIT) research group of the Computer Science Department and my current research activities are primarily focused in the following interrelated thematic areas:
virtual learning environments, e-learning, instructional design
computer science education, entrepreneurial education
blended learning, collaborative learning, networked learning
vocational education and training, lifelong learning
e-assessment and feedback
