A UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD MBA DEGREE IN BUCHAREST

The Executive MBA satisfies the need of the modern managers to expand their knowledge base and intellectual capacity quickly, in a way that is meaningful to their organisation now and in the future.
Now in its sixteenth year of operation, the Executive MBA successfully uses small groups of mature managers from different backgrounds, led by international senior academic staff, to produce an interactive, peer group learning experience.
This learning is further enhanced by assessment based on the manager's ability to apply their new knowledge to their own and other organisations problems.
The Executive MBA programme is acrredited by AMBA.

Aims of the Course

The Executive MBA is an innovative programme in which:

· Executives need not give up their positions and interrupt their careers in order to participate in the course,
· participants attend for 14 weekends (Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday) plus Dissertation (8 months)
· Managers, experienced academic staff, guest speakers and experts from the real world, all contribute from their own specialised background. The teaching philosophy adopted in this course allows all participants to contribute equally to the educational process,
· Executives study a wide range of practical, contemporary business issues
· Delegates have the opportunity to broaden their business contacts and share experience from outside their own organisation,
· Delegates have the opportunity to specialise in one of the four tracks available which include:
MBA in Marketing,
MBA in Finance,
MBA in General Management,
MBA in Logistics Management.

Stucture of the course
The programme consists of two cycles of lectures, lasting sixteen months, and the postgraduate dissertation (8 months).
Cycle 1: October - June
Cycle 2: October - March
Dissertation: April - December
The dissertation must be submitted within nine months after the lectures have been completed.

2 in Thessaloniki, Greece,
1 study week at the University of Sheffield, UK
Location of study
Participants attend classes at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and the British Council in Bucharest (10 weekends), 2 weekends take place at the premises of City college in the centre of Thessaloniki, Greece and 1 study week at the University of Sheffield in UK.

Applicants should have:
- a Bachelor's degree from any discipline
- work experience
- good command of english
