A University of Sheffield master's degree delivered
in Thessaloniki, Greece (1 year or 2 years of study)
in Sofia, Bulgaria, at the premises of our partner university VUZF (1 weekend per month),
in Tirana, Albania, at the premises of our partner institution, The American University of Tirana (1 weekend per month) and
in Kyiv, Ukraine at the premises of our partner insitution, Kyiv Business School (1 weekend per month)

The MA in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations has been designed to provide students with an integrative and strategic view of marketing. The primary aim of the programme is to develop effective marketing, brand, advertising and public relations specialists, equipped with knowledge and understanding of various marketing communications subjects, including a range of technical, human, and conceptual skills that will enhance their future careers in these fields.

The core values that underpin this programme and differentiate it from traditional graduate marketing programmes are an integrative stance, consideration of the new marketing realities and the creation of competence in a balanced mix of marketing skills at an advanced level. It is addressed but not limited to students who recently acquired their bachelor's degree in a wide range of either theoretical or quantitative fields.

Aims of the Course

The main aims of the programme are to: 

  • Provide a broad understanding of the marketing environment together with more detailed and critical knowledge in selected areas of marketing 
  • Enable students to develop a range of skills appropriate for a successful carreer in marketing 

Other Information

DURATION OF STUDIES

  • Full-time study 
    The full time MA in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations is completed in one year and divided in two parts: one taught part (nine months) and one research part (three months).
    Semester 1: October - January
    Semester 2: February - June
    Dissertation: July - September  
  • Part-time study 
    The MA in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations is also offered part-time, over a period of two years. Lectures are usually held twice a week, during evening hours.
  • Executive mode*:
    2 years (1 weekend per month)

    *the programme is currently offered in executive mode in Sofia, Bulgaria in cooperation with VUZF University , in Tirana, Albania in cooperation with The American University of Tirana and in Kyiv, Ukraine, in cooperation with Kyiv Business School.

Degree Title 
Successful graduates are awarded the postgraduate degree of the University of Sheffield: Master of Arts in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations. The title is awarded directly by the University of Sheffield.
