TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. Supports and encourages the academic and research interests of CITY College staff with a view to increasing opportunities for their professional growth and enriching their teaching experience;
2. Develops policies and procedures for the administration of research and to work toward the continuous improvement of these policies and their implementation;
3. Prepares an annual report of its activities;
4. Advises on provision of resources for appropriate research and development of academic disciplines;

INTERNATIONAL FACULTY LEARNING & TEACHING COMMITEEE
TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. To maintain and enhance the learning and teaching culture of the Faculty, including support for departmental learning and teaching activities and active promotion of inter-departmental strategies and initiatives.
2. To ensure appropriate implementation of University policies and procedures, and relevant external policy initiatives.
3. To advise the Faculty Executive Board of any relevant planning and/or resource implications arising from learning and teaching developments.
4. To ensure the effective implementation of agreed processes for the annual and periodic internal and external review of learning and teaching, including oversight of any necessary follow-up action, and to report to the Faculty Executive Board and relevant University Committees as appropriate.
5. To review relevant learning and teaching Key Performance Indicators and/or benchmarks.
6. To consider and recommend approval of proposals for new and/or amended programmes of study (including proposals for associated new/amended units; changes of title; suspension and discontinuation of programmes of study; or any other substantive change to taught programmes of study).
7. To ensure that student views are appropriately represented in Faculty learning and teaching discussions.
8. To consider any other issues relating to learning and teaching matters, and to advise academic departments and/or the Faculty Executive Board as appropriate.
9. To monitor the Faculty’s key priorities on teaching and learning.
10. To oversee the development of Faculty Learning &Teaching strategy and enhancement of the student experience.

COLLEGE QUALITY STRATEGY & ENHANCMENT COMMITTEE
TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. To establish, monitor and enhance a framework for quality which aligns the mission of the College and the Academic Departments and their working practices to the pursuit of continued improved quality.
2. To ensure excellence in academic management with reference to all academic entities and activities, such as course organisation, curriculum design, content and course inter-relation.
3. To maintain effective channels of communication between the Academic Departments
4. To develop and review policies on student admissions, student communication and representation, student feedback, student support and guidance.
5. To consider and recommend policies for staffing including staff appointment, development, research, guidance, training as well as review and evaluation.
6. To determine, monitor and review the College’s teaching and learning strategy, key priorities and objectives.
7. To review periodically the portfolio of programmes and modules on offer, taking into account available management information, and to review their continued financial viability and market attractiveness.
8. To monitor learning resources across the College.
9. To identify and disseminate good practice in education provision and related procedures within and outwith the College.
10. To encourage the continuous enhancement of the student experience, including the active dissemination and adoption of good practice in learning and teaching and related procedures.
11. To initiate strategy in the exploitation of new areas of teaching, building on the existing, and emerging areas of College's strengths.
12. To review Key Performance Indicators across the College's activities.
