Selected papers from AST 2009 will be published in a special issue of IET Software. IET Software publishes papers on all aspects of the software lifecycle, including design, development, implementation and maintenance. The focus of the journal is on the methods used to develop and maintain software, and their practical application.

Normally, such special issues include 5 to 8 papers. Papers accepted at the workshop and selected for journal publication will need to be extended with at least 30% of new material and their quality will have to be at the level of a journal publication.
